math in the time of pandemics

as you catalogue the places
where unfortunates are dying
count the countries with no cases
and know that they are lying.

Was feared by all, is now a rug.

Both of these poems are fantastic. Maybe I'll make my kids read nothing but poetry for the three weeks their school has been suspended.
