basso and ullrich are both out of the tour!
nothing is going to seem right.
and since there's a lot to go wrong, this is what i want to see just once: i want to see a rider wearing a eusakaltel jersey with phonak shorts. just once.
anyway, tomorow i am going old-style caching, which means i'll miss he first few days of the tour oh, well.

welcome home! i trust your weekend was excellent. it looked a little rainy but it's always hard to tell on the weather channel. anyway they get michigan weather wrong most of the time.
last year i said to myself, "self, this here tour de france thing has been a one-man show for too long. plus, what other event in what other sport has the gall to call upon its participants to sustain their competitive edge for three weeks straight? you'd better check it out more carefully next year!" so i have been.
but i don't get the team thing. they're all from different countries. i've been able to observe team roles in action only a couple of times during the first stages. are the teams anything beyond a group of competitors with common sponsors?
..as far as i can tell, your wish would indeed be a lot going wrong!!
